It's That Time

It's that time of year again. We're moving into Fall. It's nice to think of the weather being a bit cooler. It's also that time of year when others talk about starting school. It's nice to not have to worry about changing our schedule in order to rush everyone out the door in the morning...or deal with the afternoon/evening routine.
I still look forward to starting new routines. We need them after a summer full of camps, reunions, and adventures. I do better with routines - this summer felt like getting the kids ready for one event after another. I'm hoping that getting back to the routines will help us a bit. We'll see. I just want some down time. We homeschool - but, still feel the effect of the changing of the seasons.

Slow Going

It's been slow going around here for us. Well, at least for me. I feel like I haven't gotten much done the last couple of weeks. I think the holidays have had something to do with it. We haven't had quite as many things scheduled. So, I guess that meant there was more time to just relax and regroup. We'll start with more routines again this coming week. I actually have a seminar I'm going to tomorrow morning - so that will get my day started.

Two In A Row

I've exercised for two mornings in a row now. I know be very proud. Yesterday, I tried a DVD I got from the library. It was just twenty minutes long and gave me a chance to stretch a bit as well. This morning it was a walk around the neighborhood. It was about 25 minutes worth and then home to stretch. I feel like I don't have much time to fit it in. But, I'm feeling like it's very important for me to move forward with getting moving in a variety of ways. So...here I go.

More Beginnings

I just dropped the boys off at seminary. I drove off slowly - just to make sure it was really happening. I didn't want to embarrass them by going in. They walked in as it was supposed to be starting. If we had gotten there earlier, I might have sneaked in just to meet the teacher. Maybe when I pick them up...or some other day.
We get to start a few things this week. Rachel's clogging class starts tomorrow. I will be signing Megan up for a theatre class and then both of them want to also do piano. I'll get Jacob signed up for cross country too. So many things going on. I want to have the kids have the experiences they need. I think part of that includes leaving the schedule open for them to create and explore on their own. We'll see how it goes. It feels like we're off and running.
